Is Agri-ERP Free?
No. Agri-ERP is a hosted SAAS (Software as a Service) solution.
Do I need to install any software?
No. All you need to use Agri-ERP is a computer and a browser.
Can I have a free trial period?
Yes. A demo/development site can be created with no restrictions for those customers who wish to evaulate the product with a view to deploying it for their business. We will work with you to configure the system to your needs.
How long does the trial last?
We typically see customers able to evaluate their demo solution within a 1 – 2 month period. Rakata are happy to dicsuss extending this beyond this period if needed.
Does my free trial limit my access to features?
No. Your demo/trial instance is a fully functional version.
How quickly can a demo version be up and running?
A demo instance based on standard processes and configuration can be setup within 3 working days (often less).
What support do I get during the demo evaluation period?
Rakata will provide a dedicated resource during this period to ensure that the demo evaluation is a success.
Can I roll over the demo data into my production system when we decide to go ahead?
Yes. Your demo site can become the live site with no loss of data at all if desired. However if a clean instance is required selected data can be migrated.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
Agri-ERP is a month to month rolling contract. You can cancel at anytime without a penalty.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel at any time with just a months notice.
What type of payment do you accept in the UK?
Payment is via DD only. Rakata will send you a GoCardless link. This can be cancelled by you at anytime.
What type of payment do you accept outside of the UK?
International options for payment includes bank transfer, PayPal or other recognised payment gateway.
What will happen to my data if we cancel?
Rakata can assist in providing migration and decommission services via the following options.
1) Agri-ERP will provide key data elements e.g. customers, products in standard format.
2) A run-off support contract during read only access for an agreed period.
3) Rakata can engage in a migration project scope, planned and negotiated at contract end as part of termination discussions.
Can you assist in migrating from my current system to Agri-ERP
Yes. Rakata has carried out extensive successful migration projects with multiple customers over the past 5 years. Implementation is typically straightforward and cost effective, with the implementation plan determined during initial design discussions, taking into account data migration requirements, 3rd party system integration requirements, and any customisation required.
Do I need to enter my credit card info to sign up?
No. We will set you a demo instance of Agri-ERP without the need for any payment details.
Are there any setup fees?
Potentially. Implementation is typically straightforward and cost effective, with the implementation plan determined during initial design discussions, taking into account data migration requirements, 3rd party system integration requirements, and any customisation required. If there is NO customisation required or data migration then there is NO setup fee.
Can I pay quarterly?
Payment is monthly only.
What happens if I exceed the number of users?
The software will still work. Rakata will be informed and will contact you to discuss pricing options. There are no over-usage fees applied before any discussion.
Technical & Security
Do I have to install and manage any software?
There is absolutely no software to install at all. Rakata do all the hosting and support. All you need is a computer with an internet browser.
Can I host the software myself?
Agri-ERP is typically only available as a fully managed hosted service from Rakata Technology. Agri-ERP can be hosted on dedicated hardware but this would be based on a bespoke pricing plan.
Is the software secure?
Yes. We ensure that Agri-ERP is secure and updated with all the latest technology to ensure your data is safe.
Can I use the software from anywhere?
Yes. By default Agri-ERP is not locked down to any specific location or IP address. However if desired we can restrict access to only agreed IP addresses.
Does Agri-ERP integrate with 3rd party apps?
Yes. Agri-ERP is integrated to Xero Accounting software and other marketing tools e.g. Mail Chimp. However Agri-ERP can theoretically be intergrated with any other software. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Will my data be private and safe?
We take data security seriously at Rakata. Our servers are hosted in world class data centers that are protected by 24-hour surveillance and we ensure that our application is always upto date with the latest security patches. Our data center is EU safe harbor compliant and all our hosting plans include SSL encryption to keep your data safe. Our operational processes are GDPR compliant.
Is my data backed-up
Yes. Rakata take a complete daily backup of all your data and store this in a seperate off-site location. This ensures that if the worst case scenario were to occur all your data would be safe and 100% recoverable.
Is the system scalable?
Agri-ERP is completely scalable; whether it is database, licensed users or features.
What I want a feature that doesn't exist?
Rakata publish a yearly roadmap based on user group requests. If the enhanced functionality is outside of this roadmap Rakata are happy to discuss a bespoke project.
How can templates for Financial Documents be adjusted to our Corporate Design?
Templates are easy to update and adjust via a WYSIWYG editor.
What is Agri-ERP developed on?
Agri-ERP is built on the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP).
We have limited technical resources. Will I need to hire an IT person?
No. There are no in-house IT skills required from your side at all. Just a PC with a browser!
Will you provide training to our employees?
Yes. During implementation Rakata will provide you with all the training you need through WIKI’s and bespoke training material. If required on-site training can be provided at additional cost.
How will you support us after we are up and running?
Support for Agri-ERP doesn’t stop once you are live. If you have any questions or issues simply email or telephone us. Support coverage hours are tailored to normal working business hours (08:30 – 17:30 GMT) to ensure trouble free operation. All system are monitored 24/7 for severity 1 incidents (system outages).
Is there any limit to the number of emails and support calls I can make?
No. There is no limit to the number of emails and calls you can make the helpdesk. If you have a problem or question please contact us.
Can any user of the system call you for support?
Yes. Any user of the system can call or email us with any question.
How long have you been in business?
Rakata have been developing software since 2004.
What makes Agri-ERP different?
Argi-ERP has been built and designed with 2 aims in mind. It is designed for grain merchants and only grain merchants. It is not a generic ERP that can be used by anyone for any use. It is also built for the internet age designed from the ground up to work within a browser. Many other ERP’s are built on very old technology and have many compromises in design and architecture.
What makes Rakata different from other ERP vendors?
Rakata has developed Agri-ERP specifically for the Grain Merchant and Logistics industry which give us a unique insight into the business processes required by these industries. Agri-ERP is a vertical ERP meaning that is designed for this specific market (Grain and Logistics) and exceeds in meeting the needs of our customers. Rakata have developed Agri-ERP software entirely in-house with no third-party software development.
